A Smile For A Frown

With sky so blue and my heart so strong,
I held my wings to fly along.
Into the trap I fell for wrong
And caged my body for so long.

There die dreams those filled my eye,
There grew dreams those filled his eye.
Said to his son, "Here's your pet"
And his son took me as an asset.

A frown on mine and a smile on his,
Grew in time, like a whizz.
Days passed on, pecking the grains;
Unfurled my wings, for in vain.

Thick and fast, went my time,
My heart and wings went on mime.
Alas! My soul left me whole.
For a smile on mine and a frown on his,
Took its place, for rest of days.
